Organic Tea Tree Essential Oil

Quintessentially Australian, organic Tea Tree Essential Oil has a fresh, earthy and herbaceous aroma, traditionally associated with medicinal use. Not surprisingly Indigenous Australians have used tea tree for centuries, prizing its analgesic, antifungal, antibacterial, decongestant, healing, diaphoretic, stimulant and deodorant properties. The leaves were historically used as a substitute for tea, which is how it got its name.

Tea Tree Essential Oil is commonly used in personal care products such as lotions, creams, gels, washes, shampoos and various cosmetic products to help heal wounds and ease inflammation. It is also a useful oil to boost respiratory function including sinusitis, asthma, bronchitis or whooping cough. It can also help to reduce symptoms of acne, burns, sunburn, insect bites, blisters, eczema, chickenpox, cold sores and athlete’s foot, and is also used to treat dandruff, head lice, foot odour and oily skin.

Try adding 15–20 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil to a full spray bottle of water to create an all purpose, naturally disinfecting cleaner, mould killer, laundry freshener and insect repellent. 

Tea Tree Essential Oil blends well with Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Geranium, Lavandin, Lavender, Pine and Rosemary essential oils.
